Established in 1962 by Mr. Teh Kien Toh, Selangor Dredging Berhad (SDB) has evolved into an acclaimed developer renowned for pioneering niche property developments characterized by innovative concepts and designs. Ms Teh Lip Kim pursued her education in the United Kingdom at a young age, earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics, followed by a master’s degree in Transport, Trade, and Finance. Upon completing her studies, she returned to Malaysia.
In 1996, she joined Selangor Dredging Berhad (SDB) and swiftly rose to the position of Executive Director within two years. SDB’s core business traditionally focused on tin mining. During the peak of the mining industry’s development, SDB became the first Malaysian company to own and operate the world’s largest tin dredger.
Following her father’s passing in 2001, Ms Teh Lip Kim assumed the helm of managing Selangor Dredging Berhad (SDB). Under her stewardship, the company strategically pivoted its core operations from tin mining to real estate development, solidifying SDB’s position as one of Malaysia’s premier boutique developers. To date, SDB has successfully executed 24 residential projects across Malaysia and Singapore, showcasing its commitment to excellence and innovation in the industry.
